Earl Miller and Alexandra Duenas visited Suffern Rotary at our February 23rd weekly meeting representing Rotary District 7210's "Think Differently" Committee which Earl currently chairs. Earl presented the committee's mission of reaching more people to serve with us and be served by our Rotary Clubs. Rotary Clubs such as Suffern Rotary have come a long way in diversifying their membership and leadership over the past 60 years when women first became members. More work is still needed in the areas of DEI to represent all aspects of the communities we serve. Alexandra shared some of her early experiences beginning a career as a physical therapist in the US having trained in her native country, Colombia, South America, and the significant cultural differences she encountered. She has since served in leadership positions in the New City Rotary Club as well as in the District.
