Rotary Club of Suffern

Founded in 1927, the Rotary Club of Suffern, New York has a long history of supporting the community. Whether it has been co-ordinating Wellness Presentations with staff from Good Samaritan Hospital, delivering Meals-on-Wheels, providing healthy weekend snacks to needy elementary school students to funding scholarships to Suffern High School graduating seniors, our club members are always willing to step-up and help our community. Our members are people of action and enjoy serving together with a unified philosophy of 'service above self." We are proud of our diverse population, businesses, and its location near the beautiful Harriman State Park system.
Located 31 miles northwest of Manhattan in the western part of Rockland County bordering New Jersey's Bergen County, Suffern is the home of The Salvation Army Officer Training School and Good Samaritan Hospital/WMC Health. Rockland is also known as the Gateway to the Hudson Valley National Heritage Area with a history connected to the American Revolutionary War. The village has a marker for the Rochambeau Encampment at Lafayette and Washington Avenues.
We welcome all community members to join us in our projects, meetings and events to learn more about who and what we are. Becoming a member of Suffern Rotary is a way to make your community a better place, meet your neighbors as well as develop a new appreciation for our special community.
