Greetings! This week our meeting was led by Larry P. at DaNina's whilst Angus was accompanying his son in FL for football events. We had several guests visiting our meeting, two guest speakers and two visitors interested in learning about Rotary. Have you taken a look at the Clubrunner webpage? Check out the stories and calendar.
Please contact Pam @ PamelaJHess@aol.com if you would like to have anything included in the Grover Gazette.
Village Christmas Parade
Participating in creating the float and riding in the parade was a fun & successful project! Rotary Club rolled down LaFayette Avenue in grand style and made our presence & our community connection known. Thank you to those that participated with donations of materials and/or time. The Rotary Interact students were very helpful. We couldn't have done this without each contribution. We are already looking forward to next year's event.
Mark M. invited his co-worker AnnMarie Gaudio, the President of Hudson Valley Humane Society & Humane Law Enforcement Officer #113 to speak at our meeting on December 9th. Ann Marie explained the history of the founding of the ASPCA and what it's services to the welfare of animals in Rockland County. They provide services to pets and farm animals of all kinds as well as wildlife. The HVHS is proud to report they have a 97% adoption rate. Most of their staff is volunteer based so 95% of fund raising goes to direct care of the animals.
Check out their website for more information on reporting cruelty, animal hoarding and adoption as well as donating or applying to become a volunteer at: http://www.hvhumane.org
