It has been wonderful gathering together in person at daNina's to reconnect with our fellow Rotarians.
There are a few new opportunities for service and fellowship as we enter into the warmer Spring weather.
Looking forward to serving together with you very soon!
Rotarians Needed for Suffern High School Career Day
Amy MacKenzie is organizing a career day for students at Suffern High School on Friday May 20th from 9:30-12:00. She is hoping to get some Rotarians to help at the event. Last year, club members participated in our virtual career day but this year it will be in person. Students will come into the SHS Library to learn about different careers. Volunteers are needed to present.
Amany, as our President-Elect, and Larry, as District Governor Elect, attended the training last week at the Hanover Marriott in Whippany. Jennifer Jones, the first woman Rotary International President spoke at the event. The District Governors presented a check from the local clubs to the Ukrainian Disaster Fund.
International Project:
At the April 7th meeting there will be a Zoom meeting with the Xalapa Rotary to share information about the development of their educational center project which has been supported with a grant from our club.
Our members have been invited to attend the "Festival of Brotherhood & Service" project fair in Zacatlan, Puebla Mexico which will highlight our Xalapa Rotary educational center project. Our members will only need to pay for airfare; lodging and meals will be provided by the Mexico Rotary members.
The fair is October 27-31st with an option to extend the visit November 1st-3rd visiting other local sights and Rotary clubs in District 4185 (Guerro, Morelos, Puebla, Tlaxcala and Veracrus.)
Contact Donalee for details if you are interested in attending.
