February is in full roll and so are our February projects!
Several  updates are in our gazette & important emails with detailed information have been coming your way.  Spring events and projects are starting to form as well.

Member concerns about meeting in person at a restaurant due to COVID numbers caused the February 3rd meeting to be completely virtual.  We agree meeting in person avails itself to more fellowship and hope to meet in person as soon as possible.  Some members would like to eat outdoors rather than indoors.

Please continue to let Angus know what you feel most comfortable with and reply to the weekly text.  Your feedback is important in making decisions.

**Correction for last week's Gazette: Patricia Balbuena is the Director of ENL and Equity for the Suffern School District, she is not an ENL teacher.

Please contact PamelaJHess@aol.com  if you have anything you would like to include in the Grover Gazette.

If you donated items last year that did not get auctioned off, Angus sent out a detailed email with the link for you to sort those items and give him feedback on the status of them:

A new link will be made for this year's auction!
Keep an eye-out for a new email with the new link to upload your new items for auction.
Depending on the number of items up for auction we may have a second night to auction off all items.

Last year's event was good fun and a wonderful fundraising event for our club.  Your generosity is very much appreciated.

Hosting a Youth Exchange Student:

Our region is looking for 3 host families for High School exchange students.  For the inbound students, the club is responsible for finding host families and arranging for schooling, in addition to providing the student with a monthly allowance (see below). Ideally, there should be two or three different host families through the year, so the student gets to enjoy a variety of experiences, several families get to enjoy the student, and no one family is over-burdened. The club must get approval from a local high school for the student’s enrollment there.

Host clubs should try to bring their inbounds to at least one Rotary meeting each month, so as many members as possible can meet the student. It’s also a great idea to involve the student in club activities, whether they are community service efforts, social events, or whatever. These events allow the student to meet more Rotarians, and vice versa, opening up wonderful opportunities for future times together and greater international understanding.

Contact our Youth Officer Dennis Dillon at for more information or interest:  ddillon203@aol.com

***Program Speakers:***

Our meetings and members are greatly enriched by our guest speakers.  They can present at our virtual meetings as well as when our in-person meetings resume.

Please check the schedule to see when you are responsible for having a speaker speak to the membership.  Contact Shari.
