Float for the Suffern Village Christmas Parade:
We have a flatbed & a truck donated by Dennis O.. Decorating is tonight at 6:30 at the Ramapo Sr. Center on the corner of Mayer Dr. & Rte. 202. Bring any decorations to add to the design. There are benches secured to the float so you may ride the float tomorrow if you wish.
All Souls will have a warming station in front of the church on Washington St. Boy Scouts will have one at Chestnut and Washington St. The Salvation Army will have a Canteen.
Parade starts at 6:30. You will be contacted where to meet the float for the start of the parade.
Christmas Luncheon at Salvation Army Campus
December 9th luncheon meeting will be hosted by the Salvation Army. Enter the main driveway from Rte. 59 and park in the back parking lot. Signs for Rotarians will be posted.

Bring your Holiday Angels gifts unwrapped if you have already purchased them.
*If you would like to be a HOLIDAY ANGEL, Amany will send an email out soon with the list of individual children and there gift wish. Please be sure to let Amany know which child you have selected so there are not duplications of gifts.
Treasurer of the Suffern Rotary Community Fund
Manny has volunteered for this position. Helen S. will take on the role as assistant treasurer. Our appreciation to both new members for their service.

Peace Pole
Peace is one of the seven Rotary initiatives.
The board voted to purchase a Peace Pole from the World Peace Organization. On each side of the pole the message "May Peace Prevail" is written in a different language. We can choose which languages are most common in our area.
Currently, there is a Peace Pole made of metal in front of Suffern Middle School which was purchased by the PTA. Our Peace Pole would be made of PVC which is less costly.
Placing our Peace Pole at Suffern High School and then working toward placing one at each of the elementary schools over a period of time was discussed. If this is not possible, then placing it within the village at the Gazebo park or at the village office.
Ideas for how the club might use the Peace Pole to convey this Rotarian initiative to our community.
